It's worth the $300. I've had mine since '07, and no problems yet, aside from the occasional hiccup changing gears. Besides, I'm a Logitech fanatic (I currently own two Logitech headsets two wheels, and I'm typing on a G15 keyboard with an MX550 mouse sitting next to it!).
